SUMMER CAMP OPPORTUNITIES

We are looking for Summer Camp Counselors who will make a difference in children's lives and provide them with an unforgettable summer camp experience. Counselors get to learn and practice with experts, gain practical work experience, network with professionals and other counselors, and develop skills in teaching, communication, time management, and teamwork.

SKILLS CAMP CONSELORS DEVELOP DURING SUMMER CAMPS

Communication skills.
While working at the summer camp, Counselors learn to communicate effectively with kids of different ages and backgrounds. You will learn how to use appropriate language to teach effectively.

Teamwork skills.
Campers will work in pairs or in larger teams to meet challenges. Counselors learn management skills to ensure every camper is feeling included, learning and having fun at the same time.

Leadership role.
Counselors should provide directions to the kids and be respected at the same time. Here, you will learn your leadership style and how to apply it to obtain the best results from the group.

Technical skills.
The first step to become a Counselor is to master the subject you will be teaching. You will be provided with training prior to the camp, and will have a chance to experiment with and solve all challenges beforehand.

Personal skills.
Every group of campers will be different: campers with different backgrounds, talents and interests. Counselors should be flexible and accommodate different personalities, understand their difference and work with campers to resolve inter-personal conflicts that may arise during the week.

Time management.
Counselors need to reach specific goals every day. Working with different groups of kids, managing all of them and making sure you accomplish your goals is not an easy task. You will learn how to prioritize and be productive.

Problem solving.
Every week Counselors will be faced with different problems to solve. They can range from technical computer problems to managing a child’s anxiety. You will be trained on what to expect and work to prevent most common problems.

Build friendship.
Take this as an opportunity to learn how different people think, solve problems and have fun. Listen to them and share experiences and laughs! You will make long-lasting memories and friends.
